As a vegan who loves to travel I know just how hard it is to find places that offer vegan options and therefore when triptipedia asked if I wanted to share my tip about how to find vegan/vegetarian food when travelling I was quick to say yes and share this tip! To read the tip click the link below:
I also wanted to say that triptipedia doesn’t only have vegan and vegetarian tips. They actually have a number of really great tips and ideas for travelers looking to make their life a little easier. I would definitely recommend checking out their page even if you’re a pro at travelling you never know you might learn something new. And if you’re new at travelling then you have to check them out because trust me things can really go wrong sometimes and it’s always good to be prepared!
As you guys know I’ve been back in Nairobi for a while and I thought I would explore a little and go see some new places I’ve never been to before. This post is actually coming in a little late because we visited the place like 3 weeks ago.
Anyway we decided to first check out the Rouge Deck which is by far the coolest place I’ve been to recently! It’s located in DusitD2 which is actually a hotel but has a lot of cool things too! They have a red pool and there’s a sitting area in the pool- like right in it- which is why it’s called the Rouge Deck! That was a really bad description to be honest so just check out the pictures below to get a better idea of what it looks like!
Once we were done with our drinks we decided to check out the rest of DusitD2. First we checked out the super awesome looking restaurants which also have vegan and vegetarian options!
Then we decided to go see their studio which was the prettiest place ever with some amazing artwork!
Later we decided to explore a little more, however, some of the floors are restricted but we were lucky enough to go see them anyway!
Overall, I had an amazing time! They have some amazing restaurants if you’re interested in going to eat, they have some super cute little stores if you’re in the mood to buy something and if you just want to hang out and have some drinks the Rouge Lounge is absolutely the perfect place for it!
Hello everyone! I’m back today with another favourite of mine – a delicious and easy vegan tagine. It’s made from chickpeas and aubergine and it’s packed full of flavour and colour. This is a perfect summer dish as it fills you up without being too heavy or stodgy. I’ve tried a few different versions of vegetable tagine with couscous but this is the one I always come back to. The chickpeas, aubergine and olives work really well in combination together, and the chilli flakes give it that extra kick that I love.
Ingredients (serves 4):
1/2 a red onion
1 yellow pepper
100g cherry tomatoes
400g chopped tomatoes
1 large clove garlic
150g black olives
1tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp chilli flakes (or more depending on your spice tolerance!)
I’ve always loved tofu, but I’m not a big fan of making breakfast because it usually takes forever. This is such a great recipe to make when you’re in a hurry but want a healthy and filling breakfast! Of course, you can make it whenever, but I usually have it for breakfast.
I am so excited to tell you guys that my first recipe post is finally up! I decided to post it on HubPages though and I would really appreciate it if you guys click the link below and check it out and hopefully try out the recipe! It’s one of my favourites and of course it tastes a bit different from the real thing since it’s vegan but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Even if you’re not vegan do try out the recipe I think everyone will enjoy it whether they’re vegan or not!
So I finally decided to join Instagram! To check out my profile click here.
I decided to join because firstly I wanted to share my blog posts on it and secondly I thought it would be fun to share a bit more of my life and what I’m doing because as much as I try to share on my blog I can’t really share everything I do every 20 seconds because that would be weird and slightly annoying but totally normal on Instagram! 😂
I also wanted to sort of make more memories and I thought this would give me more incentive to go out more often and also try new things. It also help me kind of document my life and this way I have pictures/videos to look back at and remember stuff and smile!
I am also planning on sharing vegan and vegetarian recipes as well as some posts about makeup (like tips and my favourite brands) because I feel like Instagram would be better for that then my blog.
So if you want to get more of an insight into my life and just what it’s like for me day to day as well as vegan/vegetarian recipes or stuff about makeup make sure to follow me and feel free to DM me whenever!
I know I haven’t been blogging much or keeping up to date with everyone else’s blog
However, I thought I would update you with everything that’s going on right now (admittedly not a lot…)
I have a bunch of assignments due soon (one tomorrow and 3 next week) and I have a midterm test next week for Sociology so I’ll mostly be revising this week which is very hard to do when it’s cold and snowing and all you want to do is curl up in bed and hibernate.
I also tried out some vegan Indian food from Touch Of India this week which was really good! Touch of India is one of the only two Indian restaurants in St. Catharines (at least that I know of!) and I thought it would be fun to try out their lunch specials!
It was really good and it pretty affordable too which is always a plus! I would definitely recommend it if you’re ever in St. Catharines!
I also skipped a seminar for the first time since I’ve been in university and felt kinda guilty about it but it wasn’t too important and I really did not want to go. It was super cold and snowy and I just could not deal with it.
So that’s pretty much what’s been going on with me!
If you enjoyed this post don’t forget to like, follow, share and comment about what’s been going on in your life lately!!
