I think we all know university can be a huge financial struggle for a lot of people, some people only get a small loan that doesn’t cover their rent, some get no loan and others are not in a position to borrow money when needed. So, for many people getting a job is a necessity while studying.

For me, my loan unfortunately only covers half my annual rent total and all the money I saved working over summer just wouldn’t be enough to cover 6 months rent, food money, social money and transport and therefore, I had to find a job.

Feel assured you will cover your material in time with a realistic study timetable. It’ll help you know where to start and what you’re aiming to achieve for the day. With a plan in place, you’ll be less inclined to procrastinate as knowing how you will use your time will also mean you make best use of it. Everybody’s working styles and committments are different, but here are some pointers on how to plan a study timetable for exams:

  • Study at the same time each day to create a routine
  • Maintain a variety of subjects. Plan difficult tasks for when you work best, easier ones for when you’re less alert
  • Prioritise and set yourself a goal for a given unit of time e.g. one topic in two hours. Focus on one task at a time

Hello out there in reader land! Here’s a note to my beauties and those who love makeup and clean skin. Last night, your devoted southern blogger got to sample the MakeUp Eraser, boasted to completely clean allll of your mascara, dark liner, foundation, and even the sweat and crud off without soap. Just wet this special REUSABLE cloth and wipe away! AND it’s REUSABLE for 3-5 years. You can imagine my apprehension and eye roll at this claim.
