Tips On How To Be A Better Blogger Part 1

Socialize– Try to talk to other bloggers as much as possible! If someone follows you make sure to pay their blog a visit and leave a like or comment! And be interactive in your own comments section too! Blogging is all about meeting new people from all around the world and sometimes you learn really interesting things from them and end up making great friends.

Edit– Make sure you edit your work at least once and make sure everything is on point because let’s be honest no one likes a sloppy blog. Some grammar mistakes usually go unnoticed but if you are particularly bad at something make sure to double check it! Having a more neat and coherent blog can really help you increase traffic and followers to your blog too!

Reach Out– Don’t wait for people to visit your blog but rather go visit theirs! You can follow…

How To Appreciate The Introverts In Your Life

Don’t force them to do stuff- most introverts can only do so much going out/socialising before they need to recharge again so don’t force them to do stuff. If they tell you they can’t or don’t want to they really mean it so don’t guilt them about not hanging out with you!

Listen- most introverts don’t talk to people a lot unless they know you pretty well- then they never shut up! When introverts try to talk to you, you should really listen because you probably mean a lot to them and what they’re telling you is probably much more then just small talk.

Don’t guilt them- introverts tend to be very sensitive and if you guilt them about stuff it’s going to really mess with them. It’s wrong to guilt anyone into doing stuff but introverts tend to take it harder then others do.

Be there for them- sometimes introverts have a hard time expressing their feelings so even if they don’t talk to you about it but seem kind of down or something you should try to be there for them. Introverts try to act like they’re okay but a lot of the time we’re just screaming in our heads.

4000 Followers!!

So I woke up this morning to find that I now have 4000 followers!!!

I just want to take a minute to thank all my amazing followers out there! When I first started this blog I didn’t know what to expect or if it would even work out but I’m so glad I stuck with blogging. It has opened up a whole new world for me. I have made so many friends from around the world that I would otherwise have never known. I’ve learnt so much too and have got so much inspiration from you guys! Thank you for always supporting me and my writing. When I see the likes, follows, shares and comments it really lifts me up and makes a difference in my life. Thank you all for everything and I hope you guys continue to support the blog.

I also want to say there are some changes coming to the blog! I am adding a few new categories which means I’ll be blogging more often now- everyday minus the weekends if possible! I’m really excited about that and don’t worry I’ll still be doing all the other stuff I did, these are just some additions to that!

5. The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
Yes, that new popular TV show with the same name was based on this masterpiece by Margaret
Atwood. This classic was originally published back in 1985 and it tells a heartbreaking story about a
dystopian world where women have absolutely no rights. It is a brutal and sad tale about a handmaid
named Offred who struggles to survive in the world completely dominated by men. It is a very powerful
and heavy read, so don’t be surprised if you get really emotional and angry.

4. Synanon Kid by C.A. Wittman
C.A. Wittman is a talented novelist who is inspired by dystopian worlds, dogmatic religion, corrupt
leaders and corporations, and secret pasts. She absolutely thrives on these ideas and her new novel,
Synanon Kid is an exhilarating story about a girl who was kidnapped during a visit to her uncle’s home in
Riverside Valley. She was abducted by two women, members of Synanon cult’s Kidsnatchers group. This
puzzling event changed her life forever. Synanon Kid is a dark, thought-provoking, and mysterious book
that certainly deserves to be on your bookshelf.

3. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
This brilliant book is a definite proof that Anthony Burgess was ahead of his time. As you probably
already know, this masterpiece inspired Stanley Kubrick to create a cult movie with the same name.
Anyway, this novel describes a very depressing dystopian future filled with countless ultra-violent gangs
who are terrorizing the entire England. The story is focused on a violent young man named Alex who is
the leader of his dreadful gang. After one of his "adventures" goes south, Alex gets himself arrested and
while doing his time in the prison, he becomes a subject of a new behavior modification experiment.

2. Unwind by Neal Shusterman
Unwind is a truly horrifyingly beautiful dystopian novel set in America after the civil war between Pro-
Life and Pro-Choice parties. As you probably guessed by now, it’s about abortion. After the war, two
factions managed to reach an agreement that guarantees a safe life for all the babies in the country.
However, the dark side of that covenant says that if these babies start causing problems when they
grow up, they have to be sent to an organ harvesting institution.

1. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro                                                                                                                  The innocent and rather careless beginning of this book may fool you, but you must never let your guard
down. This is a story about a young girl named Kathy who while attending a boarding school in England
finds herself in an awkward love triangle. However, as she grows older, Kathy and her friends start to realize that they are just pawns controlled by a dominant system. Their fate is being decided for them
while rebellion remains a distant dream.

Why do you write and why did you decide to write a blog?

I write because it’s my way of expressing myself, it’s what I love to do and what I’m passionate about. I decided to blog because I always knew I wanted to be a writer but wasn’t really doing much about it and I felt kind of stuck so I decided to start blogging as a way to start writing for a larger audience.

My Week In Review

Sunday:

Turns out I couldn’t find my passport and after freaking out a little I realised I had forgotten it in the Bank. So unfortunately the bank wasn’t open till Tuesday because of Labour Day on Monday so I was kind of screwed.

Monday:

I had went to the orientation for international students at Brock. This was the first time I saw the University and it was huge! And yes I got lost a lot! I made some cool friends who seem really interesting and awesome!

Tuesday:

Went to the bank and got my passport back!! Yayyyy! Had Taco Bell which I’m kind of obsessed with right now!

Wednesday:

Got prepared for my first day at university by buying a bunch of stationery and notebooks at the dollar store! It was way more interesting than it sounds…

Thursday:

Had my first set of classes (Philosophy, Sociology and Earth Science!). They were super interesting and my teachers seem super smart and super interesting! Finally got my ID and Bus Pass! Made a friend!

Friday:

Had Psychology at 1. It was soooooo amazing I can not wait for the class to really start teaching! I just love Psychology so much!! Made another friend and saw a cute cat too! Also found a cool thrift store with second hand books!

I also checked out the clubs offered at my university and am deciding what to join.
