My Visa Update

I just wanted to let you guys know that I’ve got my Visa (yayyyy!!) so I’ll probably be travelling soon! I really can’t wait for this new adventure to begin!

3000+ Followers!!

I can’t believe I’ve reached 3000 already! Thank you all for supporting this blog and taking the time to leave likes and comments! It really means a lot to me.

I also want to assure everyone that even though I’m going to be moving to Canada and going to University I am not going to give up on this blog! I am going to keep writing and I’m sure moving will just give me more to write about and more stories to tell you guys!

Again thank you all so much for your support!

It’s Been 2 Years!

So I got this in my notifications yesterday and I was so super happy because first of all I had kind of forgotten the exact date I had started blogging (now I know) and second of all it’s already been two amazing years with you guys!!!

I really want to thank each and every one of my followers for being amazing and incredible and for supporting my blog with likes, shares and comments! It means so much to me! I remember when I just had 2 followers and I was about to give up blogging because I felt like it wasn’t really going anywhere. I am so glad I kept blogging because I have made awesome friends here and I have met people from all over the world that I would not have met otherwise.

I have been through a lot in the last 2 years and you guys have always stuck with me and given me really great advice!

Seriously thank you guys so much!

5 Ways To Cut Costs When Travelling

If you’re like me (a very average human being) you know that travelling can get pretty expensive and when you plan any trip ever this is your reaction to everything:

While I was trying to plan a few trips I noticed that there were a few ways to cut down on unnecessary costs so I decided to share them with you guys!

Do Your Research- you can find almost anything online these days so before you book anything like hotels or rentals do a lot of research and you will probably some cheaper ones. Usually places that are just starting out are a lot more affordable than places that have been around for a while. Also research if any of the places your going to be going to have any hidden costs. Pretty much just research as much as you can until you find the most affordable place!

Don’t Fly- In some cases you may have no choice but to fly to your destination but if you can take a train/bus/drive there that would probably be more affordable for you especially if you destination/destinations are close by.

Ask Around Way Ahead- If you know anyone who lives in the place your planning to visit or has been there before it’s probably a good idea to talk to them and get to know where the more affordable hotels, Inns and restaurants are and they probably went through something similar so ask them about their experience and how they were able to cut costs.

Package Deals- From my experience package deals and all inclusive deals are a lot more affordable rather than if you pay for everything yourself and separately so try to find some package deals!

Small Loans- If you still can’t afford the trip but really want to go I would recommend maybe getting a small loan (only if you can pay it back!!). Although I would say keep this as your last option and make sure you get the loan from a trustable source. Earnest offers personal loans for travel, so check them out if you’re looking for a loan with a low interest rate.

An Update!

So I have finally selected all my courses and decided which subjects I’m going to take this year! I just wanted to keep you guys posted about what’s going on with my university process currently.

So I have to take one social science credit, one science credit and any two elective credits. I have decided to take Sociology, Philosophy, Psychology and Earth Science. And of course I have to take one credit for History which is what my major is.

Earth Science is about the planet and stuff to do with it which sounded like so much fun to learn because I am already interested in all that!

I wanted to take English Literature and German too but unfortunately they were clashing with other subjects I am taking so I couldn’t take them but maybe next year! I also wanted to do Political Science but that was clashing too and the first year credits seemed kind of lame so I’ll take it next year!

Did you ever do any of those subjects in university and if so let me know in the comments what they were like!

And don’t forget to like, follow and share!

I Have A Question!

So I have a question for you guys-

Comments- I have noticed that some blogs I follow don’t have a comments section. I totally understand why they would shut them off because some trolls are really annoying and leave nasty comments. Personally I have pretty thick skin so I would be able to probably ignore them but I could totally understand why something like that would force someone to shut off their comments section. My question is would you ever consider shutting off your comments section? If so why? And if you have already shut off your comments section what made you decide to do so?

Also I got new glasses and wanted to show you guys 🤓 I look nerdier then ever 😂

Please let me know your answer in the comments below and don’t forget to like, follow and share!

Happy Canada Day!

As most of you probably know I’m going to be moving to Canada pretty soon for university so I thought I should wish all the awesome Canadians reading this a very Happy Canada Day!!

I’m Done!

So I’m finally done with my medicals! Everything went okay it was just the whole experience of it that was horrible but at least the results are all good! I just have to go pick them up tomorrow and I am finally done with this whole ordeal!

On a different note I met some very nice people at IOM that were also there to do their tests for their Visa application so yayyy! They were super sweet and helpful because this was their first time too and I guess they knew how scary it was and it was nice to have someone to talk to because we were sitting there waiting for four hours. I hope all their results come back okay too so they can get the application process started!

I’ll write a more detailed post on my experiences there later so look out for that!

So for the next two days I have to get a bunch of tests at IMO which is a medical center in Nairobi because I need to do a bunch of tests before I can apply for my Visa’s. I hope it goes well and I’m done quickly because honestly I don’t want to be there all day! It takes more then three hours usually which sucks but I guess I just have to go there and see what happens.

I’m not going to be blogging for the next two days because I’ll be busy with everything  but I’ll try to check up on the blogs I follow!
