Fear

The fear of change

The fear of nothing changing

The fear of love

The fear of hate

The fear of pain

The fear of feeling nothing

The fear of everything

Why are we so driven by fear?

Why do we live in a paradox?

How To Have Fun As An Introvert!

Plan- As an introvert I get a lot of anxiety about stuff like hanging out or going somewhere and to decrease your anxiety and have more fun you should try to plan our your activities for the day before hand so that you have a stress free time. And if you’re going to multiple places make sure you have a ride planned, and I think one way to make that less stressful is to rent a car because if like me you don’t really have a car of your own it gets a little expensive using taxis or Uber’s all day long. Turo is a good option if you’re in the US, Canada or the U.K. It’s car renting company where you can rent a car and the best part is it’s peer-to-peer renting. That way you can have a ride for the whole day and don’t have to worry about getting back on time. For more information on Turo and how to rent a car please click here.

Few People- I usually don’t like parties or events with too many people because I start feeling overwhelmed and uncomfortable so if you’re planning a party or get-together make sure to invite only close friends and family so you don’t end up overwhelmed with talking to everyone and being a good host. If there are few people you can have deeper conversations with everyone and have a good time too!

Loosen Up- try to loosen up before hanging out with your friends so you can have fun. Meditation and yoga helps me loosen up but you can do anything you’re comfortable with that you like. Playing with your pets is also another great way to relax.

Nothing Is Perfect- Nothing in the world can be perfect and your party/fun night out doesn’t have to be perfect either. Honestly, some of my fondest memories are of when things went wrong and my friends and I were just like what?!? I know how hard it is to try to not control everything but it’s way more fun to let go and just let things happen the way they’re probably going to anyway.

Do Something Mellow And Low-Key- If you’re idea of having fun is sitting with a few close friends and discussing the books you’re reading at the moment or your favorite TV shows in your PJ’s with a bunch of pizza and popcorn I say go for it! No one should tell you how to have fun and enjoy your life and you should do whatever you want even if it seems boring to other people. Having fun is all about how you feel not about pleasing other people.

New Beginnings

A splash of fear

A spoonful of anxiety

A pinch of panic

A dab of regret

A dash of excitement

A burst of surprise

A spot of love

And an entire bowl of happiness

The End Of Teenhood And Beginning Of Adulthood

So tomorrow is my birthday (20th April). In the past years it seems as though my excitement for my birthdays are deteriorating and a sort of sadness seems to be present instead. I guess I just don’t like the fact that I’m growing up and it kind of scares me that I am going to be an independent adult soon. It feels weird knowing that I will no longer be a teenager anymore. Honestly it sounds weird but I didn’t ever expect I would become an adult. I mean I knew I would eventually stop being a teenager but I guess it just never consciously hit me how fast time passes and how I would become an adult in the blink of an eye.

I feel like this past year was the year that I learnt the most about the universe and about myself and I’m glad I figured a lot of stuff out before turning twenty because it will definitely help me in my journey.

So to sum it up I am absolutely terrified of becoming an adult but at the same time I have to admit I am looking forward a new chapter of my life As a child I counted the days till I could grow up and live my own life. My sister actually likes to tell me that I was born an adult and I have just kept aging ever since. Honestly, I understand what she means because I always had the tendency of being mature for my age. I always made the most rational and logical decisions and I have always leaned towards everything rational and I do have a tendency of being emotionally closed off and distant. So maybe I will enjoy adulthood after all!

How To Be You

Don’t listen

When they tell you what to love

Don’t listen

When they tell you what to hate

Don’t listen

When they tell you who to love

Don’t listen

When they tell you who to hate

Don’t listen

When they tell you what to do

Don’t listen

When they tell you how to feel

Don’t listen

When they tell you how to live

Tips On How To Deal With Anxiety Pt 2

I had done the first part of this a while back and since then I have learnt some more things that help me with my anxiety that I wanted to share with you guys! For the first part please click here.

Identify your triggers- Most people have different triggers and knowing what triggers you can help you avoid them. Write them down if you like and try to avoid as many as you can. Or you can try to desensitize yourself one trigger at a time if you can’t avoid them.

Read up on it- Find out as much about your anxiety as you can. The more you can understand it the more ways you can find to deal with it. And research can really make a difference when it comes to finding the best way for you individually to work on your anxiety.

Repression- Repressing your thoughts and emotions is just really unhealthy for you. I’m a serial repressor and I know a lot of my problems stemmed from not being upfront about how I feel and I do try these days to be more open although it’s still really hard for me. So just try to be more honest about how you feel which I know from experience is a lot easier said then done but try it out and make it into a habit and it might just work! And something I’ve noticed is that certain events that have happened in your life may still be in your unconscious and may be the reason for certain other problems you are facing so if there are things that you need to work through please do some as soon as possible.

Learn what helps you individually- The same thing that helped someone else may not work for you so try out a few methods and see what sits well with you.

Cut out toxicity from your life- Some people are just toxic. It’s not anything that you did or said it’s just who they are and people like that need to be out of your life as soon as possible. Try to avoid toxic people or toxic situations as much as you can and you’ll see what a difference it makes.

Seek help– in the end if nothing seems to be working you should seek professional help because it can very difficult to live with anxiety. There are drugs you can take and people you can speak to and this can really be helpful. There is nothing to be ashamed of for seeking professional help because it doesn’t make you weaker than everyone else, it makes you stronger because you know your weakness and you’re ready to fight it. If you need help as a couple because anxiety (or any other mental disorder) is affecting your relationship there are many helpful couples therapists and there a lot of online couples counsellors too that could really make a difference in your life.

My “dissertation” on the sounds to letters and language. -JJB-

This is so awesome! So a fellow blogger tried out my poem Die Welt in different languages around the world!

Fullfatheralchemist

I was having fun the other night and ran across a fellow blogger

https://lifesfinewhine.wordpress.com/

The first post I read of hers was a poem she had translated from one of her 2 native tongues, English into a desired language, German. It is as follows

Die Welt                                                           The World

Die Buame                                                     The trees

Die Blumen                                                    The Flowers

Der Wind                        …
